DIRECTOR OF LEASING
Steven R. Blaschke is a native of Madison, Wisconsin and a 1980 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
In 1982, Mr. Blaschke accepted a position with Gerald D. Hines Interests in its Dallas, Texas regional office where he was responsible for the leasing and marketing of properties. In that capacity, Mr. Blaschke leased over two million square feet of class A office space at the Galleria, Dallas, a premiere mixed-use development. In addition, he oversaw the pre-leasing and marketing of Detroit Center, a one million square foot, 50-story office building in Detroit, Michigan.
In 1992, Mr. Blaschke returned to Madison when he accepted a position with E.J. Plesko & Associates, Inc. Mr. Blaschke is now Director of Leasing. In that capacity, Mr. Blaschke oversees and directs all leasing activity of the company as well as its tenant and broker relationships. In addition, Mr. Blaschke is active in seeking and coordinating development and acquisition opportunities for the company.
Mr. Blaschke’s proven track record to successfully lease both high-rise and mixed-use product types has continued in the retail sector, with direct experience leasing and development of community centers. Mr. Blaschke has a thorough working knowledge of the development process including feasibility analysis, total project leasing, development coordination and project/property management. . Mr. Blaschke is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, a licensed real estate broker in the States of Texas and Wisconsin, and regularly participates in executive real estate education courses at both Southern Methodist University-Cox School of Business and The University of Wisconsin-Center for Urban Land Economics Research.
Mr. Blaschke is married, has one child and resides in Madison, Wisconsin.
